By Vic VolencThree El Paso gas stations, one in Las Cruces, and two closed Albertsons gas stations in El Paso are among 100 gas stations/convenience stores and 16 closed stations being sold nationwide in a June auction by a Chicago real estate company.
Leases for the former Albertsons stations at 11330 Montwood and 5200 Montana, and the lease for a Valero station at 3100 N. Mesa are being sold. The Valero station at 9121 Dyer and the Diamond Shamrock station at 8498 Alameda are being sold. A Las Cruces Valero station at 2503 N. Main, also will be sold.
CST Brands, which a year ago spun off of Valero Energy Corp., is selling the leases and stations as part of its plan to streamline operations and focus on building larger stores with more products, the company announced last month.
Sealed bids are due to NRC by June 17. Due diligence packages will be out in May. More info: nrc.com/1406/properties.
